Communication Models
Shannon / Weaver Model of Communication
Claude Shannon a research scientist, came up with a model of communication in which a signal transmission would be relayed. So pertaining to a message there is a sender and a reciever and from one to another there is a channel in with the message passes through, but it is not that is easy because when a signal is sent it can become distorted, so a message can be affected by noise or in design the message can be less communicative because other elements are causing noise and prohibiting the message from being clearly understood.
Emmert / Donaghy Model of Communication
In 1981 Phillip Emmert and William Donaghy came up with a version of there own on how the communication model works and in there model the have communicator A or whatever label we give and then we have communicator B, both communicators are working together to create an experience. The communicator A would be your sender still and the communicator B would the reciever, but now there is feedback from communicator B in which the sender can reflect on. Also key part to the model is that everything is place in a context meaning the background or setting as a whole.
Message Cycle
The message cycle has a unversal way of process and communication, as it revolves around as a cirlce and keeps going. It interesting way of designing because we can start anywhere and still end at same spot as we go all the way around.
